What could slow down a burglar from entering your home? Simple home security devices such as locks on doors(deadbolts are best) and windows, bars, grates-items that are visible from the exterior of the house will not only act as a deterrent but slow down an intruder should he decide to try to enter. The more time it takes to break into a home, the more discouraged a burglar will become. Time is the enemy of the burglar.

I am all about security cameras.  I just did a 8 camera system at my home.  I am very happy with it.  I just think if a criminal is planning a crime and he sees CCTV  cameras mounted he will skip my home and go to the next.  Why take a risk when there are so many homes out there that do not even have basic alarm systems.

Here are the cameras I am using..  I thin think they are pretty intimidating too!

Your right time is the enemy of the burglar.I suggest use an home alarm so that wherever you go you can call anyone in your house to talk what happening inside your house.

Hi

I mentions few point about home security tips, if you want to more details visit our site: http://www.brooklyn-local-locksmith.com

# Plan to "burglarize" yourself. You'll discover any weaknesses in your security system that may have previously escaped your notice.

# Lock up your home, even if you go out only for a short time. Many burglars just walk in through an unlocked door or window.

# Change all the locks and tumblers when you move into a new house.

# For the most effective alarm system, conceal all wiring. A professional burglar looks for places where he or she can disconnect the security system.

# Your house should appear occupied at all times. Use timers to switch lights and radios on and off when you're not at home.

Hi I agree, with all the other members, the more layers and devices the better, no one system will do the trick.
